Prosperity Group has been named Residential Developer of the Year at the Midlands Props Awards 2023. The award recognised Prosperity’s ‘Urban Living’ pipeline, which includes almost 1,200 new homes.
The win comes only a week after Prosperity Group announced plans to launch a social housing provider – Prosperity Vita – to help boost the supply of affordable homes.
Now in its second year, the Midlands Props Awards aims to recognise and promote the success of the regional property sector. From industrial, commercial, and residential, the awards took in the full breadth of the industry.
Hosted by former England Rugby Captain Kyran Bracken MBE, the awards were also an opportunity to raise vital funds for Variety. The children’s charity operates across the UK, but all funds raised by the Midlands Props Awards will be retained in the region.
Following the award win, Prosperity Group Chief Executive Joe Billingham said: “Winning this award was very unexpected. The category was hugely competitive, and we were up against some of the region’s most impressive residential developers.
“So, it’s a significant honour to be recognised by our peers – for the quality of what we do, and the value we deliver for communities. The Midlands has become a vibrant hub for regeneration and development, but there is much more to come. We look forward to playing our part.
“Of course, the awards were only part of the evening’s success. Variety do vital work and we were delighted to be part of an event which raised significant sums to support children across our region.”
Prosperity Group has continued to go from strength-to-strength and has already delivered over 3,000 new homes across 42 developments, with a combined Gross Development Value of £435m. Headquartered in Birmingham, Prosperity Group is delivering across the Midlands region and beyond including in Birmingham, Sheffield, Nottingham, Chesterfield, and Norfolk. This strong portfolio, with a value of over £200m, is a clear sign of Prosperity Group’s growing strength
