2021 was an incredibly busy year for the Prosperity completions team, as we delivered six developments across the country – and 2022 looks to be just as productive as we kick off the new year with a further four developments.
Last year, of course, brought many challenges to every type of business as the world grappled with the implications of the Covid-19 pandemic – and we in the construction industry certainly faced the global supply issues on materials. But I am proud to say we still managed to deliver more than 500 properties within contractual time frames.
Tameway Tower in Walsall, a prominent former office block in the town centre, has been converted into 143 stunning one- and two-bedroom apartments and will help to revitalise the town centre as a location in which to live, work and enjoy leisure time.
Just over an hour up the road from Birmingham, in the beautiful market town of Ilkeston, Derbyshire, we handed over 69 spacious one- and two-bedroom apartments. Southside is a prime location in the heart of the market high street, surrounded by local shops, bars and restaurants, plus sporting facilities, including an 18-hole golf course.
In nearby Nottingham, at our Constable Court site, new builds on phase one and phase two, which is a converted police station, quickly sold out as local buyers were keen to take advantage of investing in this exciting and successful East Midlands city, which is ranked as one of the best locations to live in the UK.
Also completed were two developments in Halifax, with 106 apartments, and 108 stunning studios, one- and two-bedroom apartments in up-and-coming Southend on Sea, just an hour’s commute from London, where rental demand is extremely high, thanks to the more affordable costs. Beautifully finished with the latest high tech appliances and security systems, plus a lobby area that would challenge any five-star hotels, this development is a real boost for this rising seaside location.
2022 will see us completing four amazing developments – and there are still some apartments available for buyers who are looking for a new home or investors who want to expand their portfolios in this buoyant market.
